The Human Genome Project pieced together only 92% of the DNA – now scientists have finally filled in the remaining 8%

With advancements in technology, scientists working with the Human Genome Project were finally able to fill in the missing gaps of genetic DNA information in May 2021, and the first complete end-to-end human genome was officially published on March 31, 2022.
