A Thai court sentenced opposition lawmaker Chonthicha Jangrew to two years in prison for insulting the monarchy. Jangrew, 31, has denied the charge and is granted bail pending an appeal. The toughness of Thailand's lese majeste law has seen over 272 people charged since 2020.
