Test of a new 'germline-targeting' HIV vaccine prepares to launch

Scientists are anticipating the launch this summer a clinical trial testing a new kind of HIV vaccine developed by Hutch vaccine researcher Dr. Leo Stamatatos. It could the first of a series of related shots designed to coax our immune system to make powerful 'broadly neutralizing antibodies' that HIV cannot evade.
