With Folklore, Swift broke Whitney Houston's longstanding record for having an album spend the most weeks at the number one position on the Billboard 200.
Folklore has been nominated for the Album of the Year Award at the upcoming Grammy Awards, and the release's lead single Cardigan has received a nomination for Song of the Year.
Chart toppers: Evermore has become one of the highest-selling albums of the year following its December 11 release. It's a companion to Swift's Folklore which hit number one in August
Like Folklore, Swift's Evermore was written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
The release continued on her stylistic distancing from her former pop-oriented sound, and featured contributions from various other artists, including HAIM, Bon Iver, and The National.
