Chennai: The social distancing norms went for a toss as a huge crowd was witnessed at a fish market in Chennai on Sunday amid rising cases of coronavirus infection in the city. Notably, Chennai has recorded 1,977 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
A huge crowd numbering in hundreds were seen at the fish market in Chennai's Kasimedu. " In view of the COVID-19 situation we all are wearing masks, The crowd seldom gets huge and some do not wear masks," Gangadharan who works at the fish harbour said.
