Exempting social care workers from Covid-19 self-isolation will not be a 'free for all', council leaders have insisted.
The government announced last week that fully vaccinated frontline NHS and care staff will be able to continue working instead of isolating if contacted by Test and Trace – 'in exceptional circumstances' – in order to prevent providers being crippled by absences.
