A Sydney council is facing a revolt over a resolution that urged two of its elected officials who are under a corruption investigation to stand aside.
An emergency meeting has been called after three councillors at Georges River Council, in Sydney’s south, signed a motion to rescind an earlier vote regarding the Independent Commission Against Corruption probe.

It came after Liberal councillor Con Hindi and Labor councillor Vince Badalati were named in a November 2019 letter from the watchdog, tabled and read out during a public council meeting on Monday night.
