Sutton Bridge couple celebrate diamond wedding

A diamond couple have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Keith (84) and Evelyn (78) Whisler tied the knot in St Matthew’s Church in Sutton Bridge in March 1961 when the Everley Brothers were on the number 1 spot with Walk Right Back.
While the couple had a quiet celebration at home, they are looking forward to heading out later in the year to enjoy a family meal with son Trevor, daughter-in-law Doreen and granddaughter Amber.

Mrs Whisler, who lives in Princes Street, Sutton Bridge, said: “We were going to have a party but that has fallen through because of the virus.
