State police investigate 'use of force incident' involving West Hartford cops

HARTFORD — State police detectives are investigating a use of force incident involving West Hartford police officers late Wednesday night.
In a statement on Thursday, Connecticut State Police said the investigation is ongoing and preliminary information that is subject to change.
Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crimes Squad were requested to assume the investigation into a use of force incident around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the incident, involving West Hartford officers, happened on the Exit 46 ramp of westbound Interstate 84 around 9:30 p.m.
