A stunned retiree who scooped $40million in Thursday night's Powerball draw has told how a chance conversation with a family member led to her life-changing win.
The punter, from Campbelltown in Sydney's south-west, shared the $80million jackpot with another entrant after they both landed the division one prize.
The woman said she was a seasoned lotto veteran but only bought a ticket this week after receiving some words of encouragement from her grandson.
