Stairways Behavioral Health lists Erie mansion, ends arts program

Erie-based nonprofit Stairways Behavioral Health is waiting to close on the sale of a 17,500-square-foot mansion it owns in east Erie and has ended its popular Bloom Collaborative healing arts center and community outreach program.
The three-story structure on the grounds of the historic former Rose Koehler Curtze estate at 138 E. 26th St. had been listed at $499,900 through Agresti Real Estate.
The mansion's sale is pending and is due to close in mid-to-late February, said Jake Scheloske, vice president of sales with Agresti Real Estate. 
The property was listed on Sept. 10, and Stairways Behavioral Health recently found a prospective buyer.
