Splash pad, all-inclusive playground coming to Marshall Park
ONTARIO - Marshall Park will soon be home to a splash pad and an all-inclusive playground.
Ontario City Council last week approved issuing more than $1.8 million in bonds to cover the cost.
The borrowed money is also being used to install lights and artificial turf at the four softball/baseball fields along Dunlap Road.
Mayor Randy Hutchinson said turf is easier to maintain than grass.
"The turnaround time if it rains will be a lot faster. I'm just excited to provide a top-notch facility," he added.
Ontario is taking out a softball field along Milligan Road for the splash pad and handicapped-accessible playground, the installation of which has been a goal of Hutchinson's for some time.
