Snowy owl rescued from I-494 in December released back into wild
He was found by a Richfield plow driver.

The owl, a two-year-old male, was found injured along the I-494 in Richfield back in December.
Per FOX 9, a city plow driver saw the bird stuck near the median and reached out to a naturalist at the Wood Lake Nature Center, "who quickly arrived to help rescue the bird."

According to a Friday Facebook update from the city of Richfield (above), the owl was taken to the U of M's Raptor Center for medical treatment and rehab, eventually being set free at the Sherburne National Wildlife Sanctuary.
