Six Flags site finalist adds new partner
New Orleans-based Henry Consulting and TKTMJ Inc. have partnered with Dallas-based developer Hillwood in their pitch to redevelop the former Six Flags site in New Orleans East.
The team is one of three finalists competing for the opportunity to remake the site, abandoned since Hurricane Katrina.
In a virtual meeting this week, they presented a plan to develop a sports complex, an indoor/outdoor waterpark and hotel, a logistics center, mega travel center and redevelop the Eastover Country Club, Golf Course and Residences. If selected, the team will attempt to purchase an additional 172 acres of adjacent property to expand the master plan to include retail opportunities and an amusement park, a news release said.
