Síle Seoige announced the news that she was expecting her first child with fiance Damien O'Farrell at the beginning of 2017.
The exciting news came just two years after she confirmed that she was dating the Garda in December 2015.
Baby Cathal was born in August 2017, weighing eight pounds two ounces, an excited new mum said: "Our baby boy arrived safe & sound in the early hours of the 2nd of August and we're in love. "Thanks so much for all the messages...a lot of you had a feeling something was stirring."
