5.4 quake 18 Jul 8:09 am (GMT +8)
The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a magnitude 5.4 quake in the Philippines near Mati, Davao Oriental, Davao, only 17 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Sunday 18 July 2021 at 8:09 am local time at an intermediate depth of 82 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS), which listed it as a magnitude 5.3 earthquake. Other agencies reporting the same quake include Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency at magnitude 5.6, and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 5.7.
