Shuck it: Alabama oyster harvest to take place in early October

The Marine Resources Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has announced that an Alabama oyster harvest is set to begin in the coming weeks. The department will open limited areas of public oyster bottoms reportedly for a single day harvest beginning on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
