Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) and its group of companies, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd (IITH) and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd (DHSB), organised a shopping excursion for 50 orphans aged six to 16 at The Mall, Gadong yesterday.
The children, registered under the Community Development Department (JAPEM) were treated to a shopping spree in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations.
A group of volunteers comprising officers and staff of TAIB, IITH and DHSB and committee members from JAPEM assisted the children during their shopping. TAIB hoped to instil the value of financial planning during the shopping activity by guiding the children to prioritise necessities and needs over wants.
