Shooter Chandro Tomar, whom Bhumi Pednekar portrayed on screen, passed away
Shooter Chandro Tomar, also known as shooter Dadi, passed away due to COVID-19 related complications on 30th April. Her, along with another octogenarian shooter Prakashi Tomar's, story was told on screen in the 2019 film 'Saand Ki Aankh.' Bhumi Pednekar, who portrayed her onscreen, expressed her grief after getting to know about her demise; she said that it's "completely devastating" news. Both Chandro and Prakashi Tomar were named as one of the oldest female sharpshooters in the world, having started their sharpshooting career in their 60s. Taapsee Pannu had portrayed the role of Prakashi in the film. It went on to become a critical and commercial success.
