SHEBOYGAN FALLS - Nicole Butler and her husband, Mike, were milking a cow at the Washington County Fair when a man came up to them and said he didn't know milk was actually white when it came out of a cow.
With agriculture being a big part of their lives and careers, the Butlers were surprised by the man's comment.
That moment sparked an idea: They should buy a farm and open it to the public for people to come and learn about agriculture and life on a farm.
It took two years to find the right farm, but they eventually did and moved into their 28-acre property in the town of Sheboygan Falls at the end of 2018. The following September they launched a nonprofit, Diamond Vu.
