Serpa: Changes at St. Mary's 'a step in the right direction'

State lawmakers and officials who toured St. Mary's Home for Children in North Providence Wednesday reported they were pleased with the progress that's been made since the Rhode Island Office of the Child Advocate released a scathing 119-page report detailing abuse, neglect, and serious safety concerns.
