SECURING THEIR SENIORS

Sindh Society gets residents to rally together to tighten security for over 30 elderly persons living among them; some measures suggested by cops
A novel initiative has been introduced at the Sindh Cooperative Housing Society in Aundh to increase security for the elderly denizens following a crime incident in April that saw a senior being robbed at
knifepoint by a former caretaker.
The special measures, some suggested by the city police, include ex-serviceman patrolling the premises, strict verification of the domestic staffers and caretakers and once-a-day visits by security officers, who check in on the seniors’ wellbeing.
