When you think of country roads, you probably picture a narrow path winding through a quaint town where everybody knows everybody else. This is perfectly apt for our first comparison. When it comes to law, people don’t really think about marketing too much.
That’s the conventional thought, but Mel Scott wouldn’t entirely agree. I interviewed her on her thoughts concerning personal branding for lawyers. She provided fascinating insights into how and why lawyers should have personal branding, as it allows for networking opportunities, establishes an online presence, and will ultimately bring more clients — especially if you open a private practice. Everyone has a reputation, so why not monetize yours?
