Saskatchewan NDP Leader Ryan Meili thinks it’s time for a conversation about allowing alcohol consumption in municipal parks, and a government minister says the province is open to exploring the idea.
Meili mused about loosening public drinking rules when questioned during an NDP “Save our Summer” announcement on Thursday. His party used the event to call for free admission to provincial parks, as part of a suite of proposals for safe summer fun amid the pandemic.
