More pressure is being applied on provincial governments to fund proposed changes to Agristability.
A wide range of farm organizations from all commodities held a ZOOM conference Thursday, urging provinces to fund the changes on the 60/40 basis.
The proposal includes increase the compensation rate under AgriStability from the current 70 percent up to 80 percent.
The reference margin limit would also be removed.
The prairie provinces, including Saskatchewan, have been hesitant to go with the 60/40 split.
Their original proposal had been 90/10.
Mary Robinson is the President of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture.
She is urging the provinces to make the commitment
