Sandals says no plans to acquire Treasure Beach Hotel

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Sandals Resorts International has denied claims circulating online that it is looking to acquire the Treasure Beach Hotel in St Elizabeth, Jamaica.
In a brief statement Friday, the company said assertions made in an online story are “entirely false and we categorically deny them as such”.
“We have recently shared our growth plan for Jamaica which includes development of Sandals Dunn's River, Sandals Royal Dunn's River and Beaches Runaway and we will continue to update our team members, guests and the travel trade on these and any other plans that may develop,” the company said.
