The Maharashtra government's Archaeology department has discovered two temple bases during excavations at the Sakaleshwar temple near Ambajogai in Beed district. The temple, built in 1228 AD by the Yadava dynasty, was found with bricks and sculpture parts. The excavation will also survey ancient monuments in Ambajogai, which was previously known as Amrapur, Jayantipur, Jogaiambe, and Mominabad during the Hyderabad Nizam Era.
