RTE viewers have said that Shane on First Dates is a "dote" as he opened up about suffering from a serious head trauma years ago.
Tonight was the first episode of the new season of First Dates and the show was very different compared to other years due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

This year, the game of love has new regulations.
Daters are suitably distanced, contact is strictly off the cards, and background diners are all family bubbles, among them, friends and family of the daters we meet.
