As we do not have any other choice. And surprising facts about the american election, while some might expect a clear difference between trump and biden voters in terms of gender and race, the reality seems more complex with trump gaining more minority votes than 4 years ago. We discussed the issue with our guests. Identity politics, really. Steve, its one thing to say donald trump is great, but show me that youre not racist. Well, weve got to move forward to the future in it when we see each other. Beyond the color. Anybody is skin plus israel is in talks with russia over the purchase of the sputnik corona, virus vaccine. We speak to the c. E. O. Of israels top hospital as the Medical Center in jerusalem orders over a 1000000 doses of russias shot which is currently in its final stage. Of testing, we are pretty sure the people see the easy to see. If you lose a little do with the books you need to do, it should be coming to you live from our world news headquarters in moscow. This is our to international. Im donald quarter joining you here in the studio. Welcome to the program. Now we start with news from armenia, where the countrys president has called early parliamentary elections and navigable saying the government should resign. You know, its been, comes as the country is gripped by mass protests, sparked by the truce deal with azerbaijan over to go in a car earlier Prime Minister, nick, called posh and yon took responsibility for signing what some have called a humiliating agreement. But said the armenian people should not judge him without all the details. He was one with the expansion. There is no doubt for me that i am the main official responsible for whats happened, that i am responsible in the context of what happened. But there are no discrepancies here. I am aware, as before, in this case, roughly speaking, i must be brought to justice by the people. But in order for the people to be judges, they must have the information about the circumstances. We are accused of to meet really contradictory things. The fact that we signed the paper surrendering the territories and that we did not sign it soon enough to surrender the regions. So theres been a lot of talk over the last 7 days about what should happen to me from protests in opposition parties. But its the 1st clear statement from someone to give me the president , but what should happen and part way to conduct a government of National Unity and make both of those we lost the war imposed on us both on the battlefield and in diplomatic and international platforms. You can lose a battle, but its unacceptable to lose as a nation. We have a Concern Society and a damaged economy that is burdened with massive social issues. It is obvious that in order to avoid internal political upheaval Holding Early parliamentary elections is inevitable. It was here just behind me 7 days ago in the public square, where for almost to the hour actually where the protests this 1st gathered and broke into the government building behind me, the anger was really harsh initially on the project that continued a week, there was that there was more protests this evening start to do Freedom Square moves on to the prosecutor generals office. But its the 1st time weve had from, from someone within that, within the armenian political system. That, you know, i think it could actually be alive now to al assad, bruno, who is an analyst at gulf state analytics. Now, mr. Bruno, to what extent do you think this statement from the armenian president was predictable, given the current unrest in the country . I think it wasnt entirely predictable, actually spect him to resign sooner because the plan a young was elected or came to power in 2018 during the socalled velvet revolution. He has is in himself a political product of social unrest. In fact, at the time, there were quite intense protests 2 years ago in armenia. And he led this war to try to, to release the go on a kind of the region of r, r. They call it from the, as there is who were much more, much better, military prepared militarily. They had much better equipment. They spend much more of their budget on the military. So it was a lost battle from the start. Also, i would add, in the context of that velvet revolution plan i knew was that he could not count on Russian Support in the same way as previous armenian governments did. Because the violent revolution shifted alliances more towards the west and away from russia. So he entered into this situation without the proper backing. Sorry, i was just, i just want to clarify there when you were talking about putting on where did you mean to say passion, jaan. Passion and sorry. Yes. Ok. Thats the right minister. Yeah. That goes to my next question. Do you think if these early parliamentary elections are called . Do you think were going to see these, you know, seemingly anti passion young protests come down. I think theyre going to intensify. I think the, the Opposition Party believes the Republican Party will probably make a move to to intensify the blame on bush and yon and his party to reverse the effects of the velvet revolution. And at the same time, you probably have the other side protesting as well. So yeah, i think this is not going to be very easy to asian, even if elections are called quickly that said, the sooner they do it, the better. And i believe the president s hope for a government of National Unity. That may be too much of a hope. I think this is going to be very difficult to achieve saying on the topic of this outrage weve been seeing on the streets. Why do you think this peace deal signed by azerbaijan and armenia specifically sparked so much of it . Well, this war was entered into armenia, started essentially this phase of the war. And they started with, as i mentioned earlier, without, with, without the proper calculation. They entered it, it was a losing proposition from the start, and in fact, everything went against the armenian side, including the downing of russian helicopter last week. From the, as there is the, as there is promptly apologized, offered compensation and precipitated a peace deal or. d at least the russian side, russian government from intervening and proposing this peace arrangement before things got much worse. We had the winter coming and we would have seen refugees on various sides of the iranian border. So it was important to stop this soon. And i think to his credit, passion, and realize that, you know, Many Political leaders in the past have gone ahead with in losing battles, losing further this time. Passion, and must be at least praise for stopping the conflict before things got out of hand. So what weve got had story. Yeah. But it was predictable. This was that this would happen the, the anger politically and obviously if you entered into a war like this, that means you havent promised you havent delivered what you promised when you came into power. And there was a big promise in 2018. What we thought focused a lot here about stuff thats been going on the, on the unrest going on under posh and yon. But we dont, we dont exactly know whats going to happen in the coming days, months, years. But eventually posh and young wont be in power anymore. What do you think will happen once, once theres a new administration . Well, this nagano had about conflict, has gone on for quite a long time. And its roots are in the soviet period. It was stalin who gave that land to the later by john, its ike. I was thinking about it and i thought its similar to the situation in crimea where, where that coup shifts handed to ukraine. However, crimea is right on the border between russia and ukraine. And they had a popular referendum on which side they wanted to go. In the case of nagano, kyra, but it is entirely inside there by john. So its not as easy to achieve that kind of solution. One way or another, as it by john, will have to perhaps probably will offer some kind of more political autonomy to the region. After all, i said by john has is looking forward to a rather prosperous few years if the pipeline gets built with a gas pipeline. And its also secured the backing. Now, it has a stronger relationship with both moscow and turkey, which played a big role by the way. The turkey helped secure this military superiority for so i think as a consolidated victor without any doubt, as they did by john, has the chance to be magnanimous offer some kind of autonomy and help keep the nagornokarabakh issue quiet because it hasnt been resolved in any way we just have a cease fire right now, a good solid ceasefire with russian peacekeepers. Perhaps even turkish peacekeepers may come. But i think while mr. Bruno sorry, id like to talk even longer about it, but we dont have any more time. But thank you very much. Alison to ruin all the analyst at gulf state and like linux, thank you for joining us on the program. Thank you. Now trying to you last week, armenia and azerbaijan signed a peace deal ending 6 weeks of fighting over the new go in a car about on klav. Both sides will hold on to their current military positions, which gives armenia control of the disputed regions. Capital step on a cart, azerbaijan gets the 2nd largest city of shushi, which it took just before the fighting ended. Armenia will also have to hand over 3 other districts in the region, and baku says it will quote, take care of the territories it gained via the conflict. In particular, the churches and monasteries located there who has extended the deadline for armenia to pull out its troops and civilians from those districts, thousands of residents, there are fleeing their homes and even burning them down so as not to leave them to who they call the enemy, we heard from people who had to make that painful decision and we had a good life. And now we have what we have. Now we are tearing down the houses. We built off so i dont know what will happen next. And i dont know what to say, what can i see . Its hard to speak about it. I know one thing for sure. I wouldnt even want my enemy to find himself in a situation like this. Ive lived here for 20 years, and now im a refugee. We are taking down our houses and i dont know where we are going. I had little build in my house for 12 years. Now im taking it down. It is very hard, very hard, but you do not have any other choice. Meanwhile, russia is sending peacekeepers to monitor the cease fire between armenia and azerbaijan. After moscow brokered that deal to stop the bloodshed in nagornokarabakh. These are some of the latest pictures of russian equipment, hundreds of vehicles and personnel landing in armenia. The patrol is currently monitoring the cease fire and assisting with the exchange of fallen soldiers, demining and clearing the territories. Also, part of the peacekeeping mission and in total it will last about 5 years with an automatic extension. If required, a truce is already allowing some refugees to return home overnight. Almost 500 armenians came back from the capital of the era of on to the disputed regions. Largest city of step on a current, russian peacekeepers also oversaw a convoy of 19 buses. Filled with people are on the way to the peacekeeping mission in the region and sent this report. Well, the peacekeeping force that is supposed to be stationed in the golden. It has almost been brought up to the full strength we witnessed this morning. Get another very Large Russian peacekeepers making their way to the gold make it a block with aside from the 2000 about 2000 peacekeepers, the russian side has also published a detailed map of what the area of the Golden Ticket will look like. The operations of the Russian Peacekeeping mission, theyll be observation, post monitoring stations in the northern area. Now in the Southern Area and 7 in the achaeans kiko to a thin strip of land connecting it to the proof. You know, theres a lot of anger with the way the theres a lot of sadness with how many people have died. And the ultimately people are just thankful that it is concluded from, ive already hope, as with russians, they are our saviors need. The us know, europe helped us, the International Community was signed in throughout these times. In our Prime Minister sold this land. It was only the russians who came to save us. But our nation has lost everything. Nothing is left. I beg, lusher to help us to let the rest leave well in our lands. Its painful, of course, but we see Russian Troops are coming. Hopefully they will keep the peace. The Russian Peacekeeping mission, instead by the carrot, is acting as a sort of mediation headquarters that is organize a communication between the 2 sides if it directly between the media. And i said about john, they have already organized, for example, an exchange of the remains of soldiers who had been killed and whose bodies both sides were unable to collect. Things are being very differently on the, by johnny side, out of the there isnt quite the sadness that the reason the armenian side, they made tremendous gains areas that they believe are historically. Theres the recognized internationally, as i said by john in people who had been forced to evacuate 30 years ago. And now overjoyed that theyre heading back to homes, that the been unable to return to for 30 years is in peace. Im so grateful to our soldiers and our president , he will return there with great pleasure, as this is our lead and then use about the liberation and prospect of return has put behind all the hardship weve had for all this years. And want to help to me. Now, im so happy that our lands are liberated and grateful to all who made this country. Im so joyful to return to my land well waiting for a signal from the government to return. Were already packing up our stuff over the course of the 6 week conflict that had been many attempts to establish a ceasefire. International attempts by russia, by the United States could also pressure from all over the world and nothing seemed to hold until the 10th of november when russian president Vladimir Putin help mediate this latest ceasefire, which was signed by the president of us here by john the Prime Minister of armenia and which is held there is however, an enormous amount of work to be done. There is an enormous amount of uncertainty about the, the 10s of thousands of refugees that have been displaced from their homes, from their villages over the course of this conflict. Uncertainty about their future where theyll return to if theyll return to their homes. A tool with theres also a huge amount of problems with the humanitarian situation in the go in the car bomb, there is a lack of the basic medicine. There is lack of services. Heating in very cold temperatures will boost of this is now the priority stablish in livable conditions of making sure sure people have somewhere to return to theres still no official winner in the u. S. President ial election, but the fallout from the vote has spurred new talking points one has been identity politics, backfiring for candidates as both joe biden and donald trump might be wondering what went wrong in the ballots. In the democratic breakdown, demographic breakdown some and some unexpected twists came from donald trump, who lost support among the white males. A group he won over decisively in 2016, however, he gained 4 Percentage Points with the africanamerican and hispanic communities, and it was the latino vote that helped him swing florida. In his favor, Asian Americans shifted to the republicans as well in 2020 with a 7 percentage point increase earlier. My colleague tailor discussed some of those new voting trends with our expert panel. The politics really died in 2016 in the eyes of average americans. Of course not in the media, not in the far left is not the Democrat Party because theyre so out of touch with real americans. That average america with normal people, really, people who are only so over them, they could see more going on this identity, politics narrative. They continue to get even crazier and their ideas, their myths about oppression and racism to spiral. And they dont even deeper. But of course, what were seeing is that more and more minorities were voting for donald trump in 2016, even with l. G b. Ts that his support among l. G. B ts according to the New York Times since 26 team as much as the left in the me, you know, the Democrat Party joe, hold on this narrative that donald trump is a races. Is this narrative that republicans, you know, hate minorities or whatever. 5 a lot of people were listening and they decided to vote with their wallets. Theyd buy it with their conscience and stop that democrats limitation as they say. Lets take a look at by 10, because one of the moments that drew a bit of conciseness when he said to a block in tokyo, he said, if you havent decided they are going to vote for democrats, that quote, you aint black. Now some said this is a really divisive, almost patronize in type of identity politics. Do you agree with that . Whats your take after he told the person who was interviewing him, called charlemagne. The guy that if you like, if you dont know you, if you dont vote for biden, you imply. He also cut charlemagne off as charlemagne tried to ask questions about, you know, what are you buying plans for the black community . What, you know, black Community Expect in return for their vote by him say, you know what, i got to go. I cant go on with this interview. And to me that came across as blatant disrespect. And i believe that a lot of people in the black Community Felt completely disrespected by the Democratic Party during this election. Not only did they not risk, and so what we can expect in response are involved. They also began to put out the marshall that were disrespectful. Its really interesting that a lot of the policy is in response to the black community, not investing in the marketing of the campaign, campaigning in certain black communities. That didnt happen, but also ill tell you last people that they can expect anything like reparation in return for their vote. You know, its one thing to say donald trump is racist, but show me that youre not racist as well. And i dont think the Democratic Party did, and they suffered because a lot of people to, you know, turn their back on the current. Well, i think the elections showed that many minorities got tired of this rhetoric and, and we saw from the Democratic Party, especially here in florida. They lost a few seats, especially because theres, theres an attitude to believe that latinos, especially for some reason, they are a one Topic Community which is basically based on immigration. I think latinos got very upset about this because in the end, no matter where youre a black, latino, asian, i dont want to be seen as a brown person. I dont think any black person wants to be seen as a black person in terms of the color of their skin. I think weve got to move forward into the future in it when we see each other, beyond the color of anybody you skin and were able to look at each other for what we stand for. What we believe in and not because we have a brown wide little black skin, which i think is ridiculous. And the democrats paid a high price for this. And if they continue doing this down the road, especially in the next 2 years, they will lose the house. And this is not a victory. I would say, i think that would happen in this election was simply that a lot of republicans, they agreed with donald trump, his policies, but they didnt agree with his demeanor. And i think that that had a huge impact in the election, especially among white men. In other news, International Interest is building in russias covert 1000 back scene. Israel israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been in talks with Vladimir Putin over the past over the purchase of the sputnik the shot. Our correspondent paula slayer reports short time ago israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation with the russian president Vladimir Putin, about purchasing an option on the vaccine. Now, earlier i caught up with the director general of the hospital who told us this russian is safe in the city. Because siri, we do for one in boxing over the ward is very dense in many countries, and russian is only one of the books that Russian Troops to come to the market move much dependent on them, you know, no ministry in order to prevent the grief from the way you know, for a development of just books and to cook for months, not only that, we should be devoted to the government living situation. We like the idea last month is also a spike in cases if theres not a significant increase in the number of people who taste covered positive. Is it possible that israel could start the vaccinations before the trial concludes once . And each will be rick who knows in israel, has it all to isaac, see we already have wage in and puts in buying it from them. Ok for the people refused. d we decided to choose right port to apply to our israeli minister to have to submit to ration in order to be use for it seemed to be part of the books into 2 tours, but they usually mean a soup of its executive decision for me out today what we can do, hes to extend to face truth, tried and true equal to and to use here hes a and b. Are looking forward. Maybe even to establish on line a production producing here who can cry, who you see going to be a tourist in south america and east asia. You dont get more and more countries so be in was a would be to 50 percent of the work would be vaccinated. But do action book. She would like to be smallpox and new revelations concerning the trumpet, ministrations. Foreign policy have come to light after a high ranking diplomat admitted to keeping the president in the dark regarding troops on the ground in syria. The senior official who is now retiring has said that the actual number is much higher than officially stated. We were always playing shell games to not make clear to our leadership how many troops we had there. U. S. Military operations have been ongoing in syria since 2014 without the approval of the mosque is the current number of american troops known to the public stands at roughly 600. And the pentagon says their role is to fight the remnants of terrorists terror groups in the region. Donald trump has ordered a full military pullout from syria several times with the exception of a few 100 troops that remain to guard oil wells in the countrys east. According to a whistleblower diplomat, however, the us army remains at full strength. When the situation in northeast syria had been fairly stable and after we defeated isis, trump was inclined to pull out each case. We then decided to come up with 5 points around humans for why we needed to stay, and we succeeded both times. Thats the story. Re spoke to professor and middle east analyst, joshua landis, who believes it would be naive to think the president wasnt in the loop. Well, somebody like jeffrey probably thinks the president is a fool and that itll do his own reputation. Good. If he makes it clear that you know he suffers fools, he doesnt suffer fools lightly. Well, im sure the white house wasnt really in the dark. You know, most of us who watch syria pretty carefully understood that there were a lot more than a few hundreds of soldiers there. On the other hand, it is quite clear that the president made his wishes clear about withdrawing from syria on 2 different occasions. And he ran into a ton of opposition from the state Department Defense department, and his entire National Security establishment. They, theyre trying to roll back russia and iran maximum pressure on iran. And they didnt want the president to muck up their policy. And so they fought back vigorously, they came up with the oil excuse that they, they knew he might latch on to, but i might have my hunch is the president was aware of what was going on, and it just wasnt worth his fight to clear out syria for more of your world news stories, make sure to check out our website, r. Trump is facing probably his last battle as president who he triumphed over the generals and who by his Foreign Policy pick up where his mom left off leaving neo cons to get back in control to do aerial reconnaissance. We do have a caption not enough time to discuss a literary theory of this kind, going to come from the front line item that they are looking
