Politician Ronald Plasterk will not become the next prime minister of the Netherlands, he told the Telegraaf. Plasterk, a trained microbiologist who also writes a column for the newspaper, said he is "no longer available" for the job as he has found himself at the center of a growing controversy around a patent for a cancer treatment.
