ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday night on Genesee Street.
Police tell News10NBC the incident took place in the street right in front of St. Monica's Church just after 7 p.m.
A 20-year-old man was shot at least once in the lower body.
He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.

His injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
Police say the circumstances around the shooting are unknown and no one is in custody. They're asking anyone with information to call 911.
