The Riverside Co. said it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Pennsylvania-based portfolio company Greenphire, a provider of clinical payment technology in the health care sector, to Thoma Bravo, a Chicago private equity firm.
Financial terms of the deal, slated to close during the second quarter of this year, were not disclosed.
Riverside acquired the company, based in King of Prussia, Pa., in 2014. The investment came after the company's founding in 2008.
Greenphire optimizes clinical trial performance by streamlining financial management, payment and logistical workflows. Riverside said that under its ownership, the company expanded its work to clinics and other research organizations working with patients in more than 70 countries.
