The Indian government clarified on Wednesday that there will be no duty on exports of Kala Namak rice, a premium brand, with a restriction of 1,000 metric tonnes. Previously, there was a 20% duty on exports of this rice variety. The government permitted exports of Kala Namak rice up to 1,000 metric tonnes through specified customs stations, a change from the previous prohibition.
