Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
When you go a year between issues you’re definitely going to have to work to bring the readers back in. David Andry was crafting a pretty engaging story with those first five issues and I really enjoyed its take on the end of civilization and the cast that we got with it. This issue puts us right into the thick of things and it’s surprisingly easy to get back into the groove of it all. There is one big change, however, in that Skylar Patridge has come on board for the artwork. There’s plenty of familiarity in the general sense with what we had before but this is an area where the year gap helps in that it’s almost like a new book that you don’t associate too heavily with any one artist outside of a general feeling. Resonant under Patridge’s hand look exceptionally familiar and very engaging.
