The Vestaburg Wolverines softball team dug themselves an early hole and, despite late efforts to climb out of it, fell just short in game one of Friday’s doubleheader. The Wolverines would come up just short in the 8-6 loss against St. Charles at home. There were no hung heads in the dugout following the game, however — the girls knew they made a great effort to get the win.
