Rally Against Cancer raises record $356,000

John Stoddard Cancer Center's 21st annual Rally Against Cancer, presented by Professional Solutions Insurance Co., announced that the 2021 event raised a record $356,000 in net proceeds. The money raised will benefit patients and families at John Stoddard Cancer Center. More than 550 people participated virtually from across Iowa and the United States to hear from the featured guest, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo. A survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Rizzo also spent time with Stoddard patients virtually to share stories of hope and compassion. "We are humbled by the outpouring of support from our community," said Brenna Finnerty, senior director of development for John Stoddard Cancer Center. "The funds raised are needed now more than ever before to provide much needed programs and services for the patients and families we serve."
