The Port of East London will receive an injection of R4.3bn to develop its infrastructure as part of a larger R9.1bn project targeting East London and the ports of Port Elizabeth and Nqgura. The seven-year project, Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) announced over the weekend, will focus on private-public partnerships to increase capacity and productivity in these ports.
