Some water customers in Farmington could soon see a "surcredit" on their bills.
FARMINGTON, CT — The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority is scheduled to decide on a slight adjustment for some Connecticut Water Co. customers Wednesday.
The adjustment is for the "reconciliation" of Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment, or WICA on some bills, for the customers of the former Avon Water Co. in Avon, Farmington, and Simsbury.
WICA is a mechanism that allows utilities recovery for completed infrastructure replacement projects.
If the WICA has charge generated revenues that were less than expected the reconciliation adjustment can be increased to "true it up," Connecticut water spokesman Daniel Meaney said.
