Profile School goes remote after winter break
March 03, 2021BETHLEHEM — Under its advisory committee's recommendation, the Profile School Board opted for two weeks of remote learning following last week's winter break. Principal Kerry Sheehan said the preventative action would not only decrease potential virus transmission but associated stigma as well.
"It wasn't in our plan to close after February break, but survey findings from students and staff indicated a lot of anxiety around vacation travel. Many people traveled north from Rhode Island and Massachusetts and some Profile families were also leaving the area. We wanted to make sure that we had equity in education," stated the principal.
