It’s thought he has visited the centre multiple times over the years with and without publicity, including Passage House Assessment Centre in Pimlico and Montfort House in Bethnal Green.
Whilst there, he shadowed other volunteers and helped to prepare hot meals for those in need while spreading some of his regal charm.
The father-of-three has previously spoken about his involvement in the scheme and what it meant to him. In 2016 he said: “The visits I made as a child to this place left a deep and lasting impression upon me.
