Has a right to defend itself, more and more settler colonialists inside of the regime are protesting and clashing with police, they say regime leaders have created more insecurity for the people and have not freeed the captives. The settler colonials want a change in the regime. This as increasingly some of the regimes closest allies are starting to, at least on the surface distance themselves from netanyahu, but in. Reality, what does it all mean . Well, stay with us as we take a look at all of this and more on the spotlight. Id like to welcome my guests to the program. Sarah flounders, International Action center out of new york, and sayid, journalist and political commentator out of of london. Well, welcome both of you to the program. Let me start it off. In new york, and sarah, is the main problem with the Israeli Regime due to netanyahu being Prime Minister, or is the reality beyond who is Prime Minister . Well, it is far beyond netanyahu. This is zionist policy from day one for 75 years and even earlier. Uh, but right now there are us politicians that are desperate to save israel as a zionist outpost for us. Domination and power in the region, and they seem to think maybe the only way forward is to dump netanyahu, clearly that was true in senator schumers statements the other day, and increasing number of politicians, they face a real problem, that israels global reputation has been absolutely destroyed, its clearly been proven its no longer invincible, its certainly not the iron dome, the. Tanks, the missiles, the weapons, they have all been found to be not so invincible at all, but also israels reputation, its standing has been completely destroyed and overwhelmingly, even here in the us, more than twothirds of the population is for the palestinians, now thats a big problem, us politicians, democrat and republican, theyre both zionists, absolutely. But they face an election coming up, so they got to act like there for something different, whether theres anything different thats even possible, thats a real question, because everything means they still want israel to survive, and that is what is being uh threatened and challenged by a unif resistance. Well, said most, weve seen across the board support for the genocide in gaza from all factions of the Israeli Regime. As well as from the settler colonialists uh on the ground themselves, i mean your thoughts overall, is there actually a divide between the people and that regime, of and is it related to the genocide itself, or is it related to how they are being affected by it all . Well, its a very fascinating uh situation internally, uh, the people, the jewish uh. Uh occupation of uh citizenry etc. Is certainly behind the war, theyre certainly behind uh the genocidal tactics being used by netanyahu, but theyre not necessarily for Benjamin Netanyahu himself. He was in trouble long before this war and in fact uh there were all sorts of issues constitutionally and in terms of the the whole uh the grave political, constitutional and domestic crisis which was uh. Which had brought about through his own efforts to try to reduce the judiciarys power, to increase his own power, to bring in essentially a jewish religious jurisprudence of hugely. Fundamentalist nature, there was hardly anything secular left within the uh the plans that they were rolling out, and essentially hes increased the racist approach to palestinians, if that could be increased anymore, with the uh, with the the the the necessity that hes created of of support from ultra nationalists, ultra extreme violent you know jewish politicians like smodridge and and all the other entourage that have become very infamous across the screens, but in reality also that public which is backing the war, which also doesnt necessarily like like netan yahu, is hugely aware now that the entire north part of israel has been evacuated, so the the wall which by extension uh obviously drew in hesbollah has essentially created a huge deal of paranoia intire entire settlements in that northern part of uh you occupied palestine. Have be had to be evacuated, thats one result of uh this this this war which gets little coverage, but the the the israeli public is even in more insecure as a result of this, because dont forget what they havent forgiven yahoo for is is the the failure of security, he was mr. Security, and get what hes done, he in october the 7th is created the biggest amount of paranoia and insecurity among the israeli public uh thats thats ever been known, top of that hes failed on the uh the retrieval of hostages, hes failed in terms of wiping out hamas, which was another pledge of his, what he has done is also undermined israels cover story, which was that they were the victims and that the palestinians were terrorists. Now, well, of course, whats happened is the whole world sees the emperor is naked, they can realize that he has no clothes and that all the lies the hasbara are there for the world to see, and i think israel standing certainly wont recover from this, what the implications . That are for its longterm survival uh are of course open to debate. Well sarah, the demonstrations on saturday in tel aviv and other cities led to the first major clashing amongst israelis and Security Forces since october the 7th. Is this significant and indicative of a transition taking place inside of the regime in your perspective . Well, there has been a growing number of demonstrations, disruptions, encampments, going on within israel among the zionist forces, they are deeply, completely divided, and the animosity and the failure of security that rankles deep, and it will grow worse and worse, because in the hundreds of thousands have left, israel itself either to avoid being drafted or just wanting no part. This war, thats a big loss, the economy is in shambles, unemployment is really higher than its ever been, and their standing in the world is completely shattered and lost, so the divisions are real, and the growing actual fights, repression, so on, are becoming stronger and stronger, the failure on every front of the. The war in terms of regaining the hostages, defeating hamas, all that, here it is, more than five months in, and they not, havent succeeded in anything, so that will mean Greater Division and greater hostility within the state, which is illusion from its very beginning, so now you have millions of people waking up and frustrated and angry, so will they break with zionism very . Few of them because the racism is so deeply engrained, but will they um break in all kinds of ways against the government . Thats what it certainly looks like uh is happening, and and then there also are voices who really were never for this policy who are becoming more outspoken and and gutsy, so there are a lot of tensions going on in today, and also the big thing that everyone in. Israel knows is that world support has completely broken and us support is waining, so this is a fragile effort from the very beginning, and now its in really you know bad shape. Israel cant prevail, and as i say, theyve lost support everywhere, its a failed, and that will create greater and greater tension, animosity, opposition within the israel. State, well, said most, speaking of the captives, i mean, protesters say that netanyahu has done nothing to try to reach deal to bring the captives home, do you think that the. Reality is that the regime leaders really did not want the captives to be returned home . Well, the hanable directive is something which is on record and its something which the israeli uh establishment had had decided was going to be a policy and theyve exercised that policy quite ruthlessly. It essentially says that in a situation where hostages or israeli lives uh can be saved and the the alternatives of course is to stop uh their military actions, they will always. Come for sacrificing the hostages and thats what netanyahu has done essentially, hes actually responsible for directly killing many of the hostages, many them have been uh have been essentially uh murdered alongside all those women and children, the 31 plus and been killed from the the palestinian civilian fraternity, so his the his own peoples blood is on his hands, there are huge questions he has to answer in terms of what his military forces uh were doing. On october the 7th when they sent in apache helicopters and mowed down uh Israeli Citizens essentially, they hes hes got to answer for those uh issues, so to be honest with you uh there there is a clear set of evidence that this establishments incompetence in dealing with this whole situation from start to finish and its now uh very well documented uh you know genocide and uh ethnic cleansing and starvation of people who are already destitute and on their last legs uh is is recorded and he is now spoken ultimately hes going to be spoken in the same breath as names like paulpot um hitler and churchill id like to add because these people were all responsible for some of the biggest genocides of the 20th century well congratulations netanyahu youve managed to get yourself an auspicious list there and uh that wont go away israel itself is now also tard with that brush uh nobodys buying the victim uh victim story, but what they will do is theyll try and uh their advisers already trying to do this, what the theyre planning is to meet this challenge uh by essentially uh getting uh new political realignments done in the backgrounds, so benny gants and and the National Unity party for instance will be pushed, think into the foreground as the replacement, theyll probably try and bring together some kind of coalition uh which will try to uh you know patch. Over, i mean, theyve already trippled their their their popularity in the uh, in the uh, in the various election, general election polls, so we know that the nup will be rewarded for this war, and benny gance is the one to watch, but then benny gances policies are not going to be that different from netanyahu, hes part and parcel of this zinisk terrorist mindset, and unless they are willing to really give the rights of palestinian. Unless theyre willing to conceed the land and and give people back their properties, allow uh the the repatriation of all palestinians expelled and their heritage children who who whove been born abroad, unless theyre willing to settle for a one state solution which is based on democracy and the rights of palestinians, were not going to see uh an end to this uh this uh this uh situation, in fact done is they bread an entire generation of palestinians who. Will now fight, literally fight for the the the the the the return of their peoples rights. Well sarah, some of the protesters were saying that the policy has to change by the Israeli Regime towards palestinians or israel will no longer exists. Your assessment of that statement, i mean, is there a greater awareness by the settler colonialist that the regime um is in danger . Uh, i, i think so, maria, and i very much agree with. This say that that what it would take though is something which would really mean the end of zionism i mean it the return the settlements, it means you know israel out of gaza, it means the end of the attacks, thats the only way, and that seems to be almost an impossibility, thats not on benny gantss agenda or any of the um israeli politicians, so that is the quandry they have. An absolutely failed war, theyre no longer clearly invincible, thats been completely destroyed, and dumping netanyahu or new Coalition Government wont fix this, wont wont solve it, and and the us is desperately seeking for a way to act like theyre not for this policy, theyre for something else, can they restabilize, and that doesnt seem to be in the works, its not in the work. Even because of the actions taken in yemen by the law movement, the blockade that israeli ports are all but closed, so while they have imposed complete closure and created a famin in gaza, they havent been able to open their own economy, as a driving economy it was, so they cant seem to prevail anywhere, either economically or militarily, the big win that they expected, it isnt in the cards with any of the um israeli politicians, this is a real uh crisis that they face and actually that you us imperialism faces because they have completely banked on israel from its very foundation and now they see it literally crumbling, they see the popul at each others throats and many others just opting to leave out of the whole project, its a its a big problem and its part of Global Change that is really happening uh among many countries realigning and rethinking where they stand, well speaking of that. Actually of that realignment said mosen as the regime continues to be animate about its invasion of rafa and continues to commit mass murder a daily basis, do you think that there is real distancing um taking place a International Level of some of the International Allies of the regime or or is it just for show . I think theres a lot of show, theres a no genuineness about the allies, the allies are. Part and parcel of the genocide, theyve been aiding a betting, aiding and a betting uh the the murder of the genocide, the ethnic cleansing with weapons supplies, hundreds of thousands of tons of weapons from uh germany, from britain, from america have been pouring in, their alliances have are just as solid as they were before, in fact what they what one has to realize that israel is their means for controlling west asia, but whats happened is that uh israels own um if you like, invincibility has been uh undermined so much that its putting doubts earthwile allies. This is whats really important the likes of saudi arabia, the likes of jordan, egypt, all these collaborators, collaborators in the the genocide of palestine, because dont forget the saudi has been allowing food and commodities to come through their territories into jordan via uae, dont forget that egypt has been trying to prevent yemanistic. Reaching israel and are also holy and soly responsible for the the starvation thats going on also from the rough crossing because they are also absolutely uh you know hand in hand in glove with israel with this this policy so its this exposure of the regional uh you know essentially israeli allies covert many of them previously covert now are exposed saudi arabia is finding increasingly embarrassing turkey and the likes of azerbad. Have been exposed for their oil exports, so israels actions have actually exposed all of the collaborators and the public knows, the arab public in the region now knows, and i think that that realization isnt going to go away, it will affect those governments and its also exposed the likes of the the z western establishment clearly and china with me said mostly because i only have a couple of minutes left, want to get a couple more questions in, well sarah, us senator Chuck Schumer stanch zinanis supporter uh the regime in washington has said that netanyahu has lost his way and is an obstacle to peace, what are your thoughts on why schumer is saying that now, and what does it really mean . Well, schumer is an arch zionist, strongest zionist, longest supporter of israel in the us, top top representative, so netanyahu has lost his way, and it just means schumer is in a panic, how to distance himself from this politician whos now radioactive, that. Is the problem, and so schumers got to act like hes for something different, what it is, he doesnt say, and frankly he doesnt know, that is what they cant overcome, and its also true in us, and britain, these are the supporters, the the eu, these are the supporters of zionism from the very beginning, and now frankly, they are scared, they are worried, and they dont have an option, that this is the quandry that. Theyre in and the regime that were complicit in western asia and im talking about as as i did jordan, saudi arabia and egypt, theyre also now looking east, they are looking to new relations, there no longer is the us and the you know that imperialist economy, the only game in town. Okay, say with me, sarah, so sorry to interrupt you and said most and at the end of the day, um, is there anything besides or any group . Besides the resistance that is going to bring this genocide against palestinians in gaza to an end, no, the only chance uh that exists for. The liberation of palestinians in my opinion is the resistance of the people inside palestine and the support of the resistance both in from lebanon, iraq, iran and yemen. I mean, the reality is that uh, without, i mean, i dont know of any any peoples in history who have managed to overthrow the kind of oppressor that israel is, the kind of vicious oppressor that israel ideologically is, by peaceful means, and weve not seen any evidence for for the western. Powers or the the the un or any of the operators controlled by the anglozionist empire uh in really being serious to create any solution for palestinians, were seeing more of the same, it has to be a military resistance which is going to ultimately achieve israels downful and on that note, thank you both for being with me, on this spotlight sarah londers from International Action center out of new york, said mosan abbas, journalist and political commentator out of london, and thank you virus for being with us on another spotlight, im marza hash.
