GHAZIABAD/NOIDA: Although the Centre has released a set of guidelines for inoculating pregnant women, Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad districts are yet to implement those. Officials said they are waiting for a directive from the state government to start the process.
Sources said it may take around mid-July for both Noida and Ghaziabad to start vaccinating pregnant women. According to the Centre’s guidelines issued on Thursday, pregnant women can take the vaccines.
“So far, we have not received any order to start inoculating pregnant women. We will open slots for them as soon as we get an order,” said Dr Neeraj Tyagi, the district immunisation officer, Gautam Budh Nagar.
