Port City Air counters competition with new proposal for Pease airport

PORTSMOUTH — Port City Air has a counterpunch in its fight to be the preeminent fixed base operator at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease — a proposed 73,200-square-foot buildout of its current facility in order to accommodate military flights, cargo and corporate planes, and more general aviation.
PCA is in a battle with Million Air Aviation, a Houston, Texas-based operator that wants to establish a new foothold at Pease.
While he said he is not opposed to competition from Million Air Portsmouth, Port City Air CEO Ned Denney said there needs to be an even playing field.
