A second juvenile has been charged with murder in the death of a North Charleston smoke shop employee on Jan. 30, 2024. Police say both boys have also been charged with two other violent crimes in Charleston last month. Charleston police said in a news release , on Feb. 28, 2024, that, in addition to the original 14-year-old boy charged in the Jan. 30 shooting death of Caden Martin, 19, of Dunbar, at Tobacco and Pipe, 2809 7th Ave., a second 14-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder in Martin's death. They have also been charged with malicious wounding in a shooting that occurred in the 800 block of Woodward Drive on Jan. 21. The victim, Christina Gayle White, 44, of Charleston, was shot in the face. They have also been charged with first-degree robbery of a man in Charleston on Jan. 24.
