The community turned out for some Milford Pioneer Day staples as well as a few new events over the weekend. Young competitors grimaced in exertion during the kiddie tractor pull Friday, and others cooled off during the water fight hosted by the Milford Fire Department that afternoon. Crowds lined Highway 71 to wave and cheer for the parade floats Saturday morning, and many turned up in Florence Park for the burger picnic and free watermelon. Meanwhile aromas from several different smokers wafted through the air for hours ahead of the Pitmasters BBQ competition.
