Winter Storm Baily arrived in Connecticut overnight. Snow continued to pile up in to the morning of December 17. Residents woke to a blanket of fine, fresh snow, where it was measured up to 15 inches in some towns. Whipping winds made for a frigid start to the day but that didn't keep everyone indoors. See photos from across the state of municipal workers, businesses, and residents cleaning up and digging out, people going about their day, and some braving the elements to enjoy the first nor'easter of the year with walks and sledding.
Near the shops at Farmington Valley in Canton heavy DOT equipment is used to clear snow from Route 44.
