Joseph Neff received an email Monday morning from a friend who said the 26-year-old North East Township man was now eligible, like every other Pennsylvania adult, to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
Less than 24 hours later, Neff had already scheduled and received the first of his two recommended doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
"It's a pretty smooth process," Neff said after receiving his first dose at the UPMC Health Plan Operations Center, 380 E. Bayfront Parkway. "I called Monday to schedule a time and the woman asked what date and time worked for me. I grabbed 11:15 (Tuesday) and there were no problems."
