A move is afoot by an undisclosed group to have the Prince Township boundary moved to encompass all properties west of Town Line Road and south to the St. Mary’s River.
As of Friday morning, slightly more than 300 people have signed the petition at the Airways General Store. Pamphlets are also being circulated in the area.

Prince Township currently has a population of about 1,100.
The pamphlet markets the move as one that would annex property in the former Parke Township area and have the boundary moved to expand Prince Township, thus reducing property taxes for residents in that area and providing continued and additional services.
