Mayfield Heights-based Parker, a maker of motion and control technologies, announced Tuesday, Sept. 13, that it closed the acquisition of Meggitt for about £6.3 billion, or about $7.4 billion in U.S. dollars. It took more than a year to bring the deal to a conclusion.
