Pakistans President Arif Alvi urged politicians to forget their differences as the nation celebrated Independence Day. He also expressed thanks to friendly countries that have supported Pakistan as it struggles with an economic crisis. Mr Alvi predicted the country could become “developed” within a few years if familiar problems such as nepotism could be overcome.
